Money raised locally
spent locally
Our aim has always been to support small local charities and organisations. Money raised on the day can quickly reach local organisations in need of support and able to make a real difference in our community.
Our 2024 Charities
Richards Castle Vilage Hall
Richards Castle Village Hall is a charity run by local volunteers, serving as a community hub for people of all ages. It hosts a variety of local groups and events, including social gatherings like pub nights and biennial pantomimes. The hall committee has recently purchased land to build a new playground and is fundraising for this project, as well as planning to install a sewage treatment plant to improve its environmental impact. Kyrebrook Daycare Centre
Kyrebrook Daycare Centre in Tenbury Wells offers a safe space for older and vulnerable adults to socialize, engage in activities, and receive respite care. It helps individuals maintain independence and stay connected to the community. The centre also runs a Lunch and Friendship club on Mondays and Thursdays, offering meals and entertainment, with free transport available locally. Fully self-funded through client fees and fundraising, Kyrebrook faces financial challenges and hopes for support to expand services, increase transport, offer subsidies, and improve community awareness.
Ludlow Community First Responders
The Ludlow Community First Responder (CFR) Scheme, established in 2000, consists of trained volunteers who assist the West Midlands Ambulance Service by providing critical first aid in 999 emergencies within their community. Available at all times, they support patients until professional ambulance teams arrive. Beyond emergency care, the volunteers dedicate time to training, meetings, fundraising, and public engagement. The scheme operates independently, relying on self-funding and donations from local businesses, individuals, and organizations to sustain its vital services.
